I'd like to thank Happy and his crew for throwing a well organized tournament. There was not one issue with the score keepers and the refs were consistent all the way through the tourney. I think it really helped having the same 3 guys ref all of the games. Also, the ice cold water next to the benches was a nice touch. My only feedback is having 3 refs instead of 2 reffing the championship game. Most refs aren't used to reffing with 3 guys, and most of the time, the refs don't know when it is their call to make, or are hesitant to make a call because they think its the other guys call.

As for the tourney and our team....we (Bad Boyz) played well all tourney. I'm glad that we were able to build off of our loss in the semi-finals of the Yuba City Tourney (Prab Bains tourney) and take home the trophy. Every one on our team contributed and we had a pretty versatile lineup allowing us to match up with the smaller, quicker teams like Azad or the bigger/longer teams like Wolfpack. The addition of Dayal Gaitonde and Gury Grewal really gave us that versatility and more of a defensive presence. Goose is still money from anywhere on the court, and we were able to take advantage of teams keying their defensive schemes on him. Gury and Roc were beasts underneath, swatting away shots and getting rebounds over bigger stronger guys. Mini and Dayal shut down the opposing guards and got their hands on every loose ball. Ketu hit some big shots and was the igniter of our fast break. We beat a heavily favored Wolfpack team, who were stacked (See Westcoastballer's post), not once, but twice. In fact, all of our wins were double digit wins except for the 9 pt win against Wolfpack. Great job fellas!

I didn't get to see a lot of the other games, but there are definitely a lot of young talented players out there. I look forward to the next tourney!
